Thank you for choosing Grandin Movers. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of our moving and storage services. By accessing and utilizing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging with Grandin Movers, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, including any future amendments. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

Grandin Movers provides the following services:

  • Local Moving
  • Long-Distance Moving
  • Commercial Moving
  • Residential Moving
  • Moving and Storage

These services are provided based on the agreement between Grandin Movers and the customer. Additional services may be available based on prior arrangements.

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Booking Process: To book our services, you must provide us with accurate details regarding your move, including the type of service, moving dates, destination, and any special requirements. A booking can be completed online, via phone, or in person.

3.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due before the move begins unless otherwise agreed. We accept payment through various methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, and checks. Final payment must be made before the release of goods stored in our facilities.

3.3 Deposit: A deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your scheduled date. The deposit amount is non-refundable, except in specific situations outlined in our cancellation policy.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation by Customer: If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled moving date. Cancellations made within this period will incur a cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled move, you may be liable for the full payment.

4.2 Cancellation by Grandin Movers: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your moving services in cases of emergency, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide an option to reschedule or refund any payments made.

5. Moving and Storage Responsibilities

5.1 Customer Responsibilities: You are responsible for ensuring that all items are packed and ready for transport. Any hazardous materials or items that are not allowed to be moved must be identified by you before the move.

5.2 Grandin Movers’ Responsibilities: We will take all reasonable precautions to protect your items during the move. However, Grandin Movers is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing, pre-existing damage to items, or external conditions that impact the move.

5.3 Storage Terms: If you utilize our storage services, we will provide you with secure and climate-controlled storage. Your items will be stored under the terms specified in our service agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that no illegal or hazardous materials are placed into storage.

6. Liability

6.1 Limitation of Liability: Grandin Movers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services. Our liability is limited to the value of the damaged or lost goods as determined by the terms of the service contract.

6.2 Insurance: We offer insurance options for items during the moving process. If you choose not to purchase insurance, you assume all risks associated with the transport of your goods. Any damage claims must be filed within 24 hours of the move.

7. Use of Personal Information

7.1 Data Privacy: We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. We collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your information will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and communication related to your booking.

7.2 Third-Party Services: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist in the provision of our services (e.g., payment processors, storage providers). These third parties are bound by confidentiality agreements and must adhere to privacy standards.

8. Customer Conduct

8.1 Respect for Staff: You agree to treat our employees and agents with respect during all interactions, whether in person or via communication. Abusive language or behavior towards staff will not be tolerated.

8.2 Access to Property: You are responsible for ensuring that the moving crew has clear and safe access to your property. This includes clearing pathways and notifying us of any potential obstacles or challenges we may encounter during the move.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Resolution of Disputes: If a dispute arises between you and Grandin Movers, we will first attempt to resolve it through informal discussions. If the dispute is not resolved amicably, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration as the primary method of dispute resolution.

9.2 Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, United States, and any legal actions will take place within the jurisdiction of Florida.

10. Force Majeure

Grandin Movers will not be held responsible for any delay, damage, or non-performance of our obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor disputes, war, terrorism, pandemics, or any other event that makes the fulfillment of our obligations impossible or impractical.

11. Modifications to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates or changes to these terms will be posted on our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of our services after any changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
